35 formats from your documents.

Pick a format and the stage makes it the way the app does: tick your sources, set it up, and the finished item opens. In the app they sit on one grid called Make from these sources.

2 · Sources

Bring in what you already have.

Files, pasted text, a screenshot, a recording, a web page, a YouTube video or a feed: each comes in through the same Add menu and becomes a source you can ask and make from.

• Seven ways in, one menuUpload files, paste text, paste an image, record audio, add a link, a YouTube video or an RSS feed: each opens its own sheet from Add in the Sources pane and files the document in the collection the sheet names, the Default Collection unless you choose another.
• What each one savesAn upload keeps its own file and name. Pasted text becomes a Word file, or PDF or Excel if you pick it. A pasted picture is saved as PNG, JPG or BMP. A recording is saved as sound and transcribed with its speakers labelled. A link saves one page as text, or up to 25 pages from a sitemap. A YouTube link saves the title and description as a PDF, with a transcript only if you paste one. An RSS feed saves its latest 10 entries, then its new posts, in one document, for up to 25 feeds.
• From added to answerableOn individual plans a new document is read and trained automatically, unless your credits are used up (on other accounts it waits for Start Training). PDFs, Word, PowerPoint and text files can be asked about once they say Chat-ready. Its row in Sources shows the stage it is at, and can be ticked from Chat-ready on. A recording made in the app is always transcribed first; an uploaded sound file is transcribed by itself on individual plans.

3 · Ingestion Inbox

Email a document in. You decide what is added.

Files come in by upload, paste, recording, link or feed, and by email: you get your own address, and mail from anyone you have not trusted waits for your say.

• Every way inUpload files, paste text or an image, record audio, add a link (one page, or up to 25 from a sitemap), a YouTube video or an RSS feed, or email a document in.
• Your own addressSwitch email-in on once and mail from your own login address is added once you've opened My Documents or the Inbox. The email becomes a PDF in the Email Ingestion collection, with its attachments beside it.
• Held until you decideMail from a sender you have not trusted waits in Quarantine: approve the sender, add it once, or delete it. The Safelist holds the addresses and company domains you trust.

4 · Languages

Ask in your language. Read the answer in it.

Each chat has a language. Leave it on Automatic and it works the language out, from what you write or from the language your documents are in. Or pick one, and every answer comes back in it.

• Automatic by defaultNothing to pick: a reply follows the language you write in, and what you make follows your request or, when it names no language, the language most of your documents are written in.
• 24 listed, or type anotherEnglish, Spanish, French, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi and more. Pick one and every answer in that chat comes back in it.
• What follows the languageChat answers, and Summary, Quiz, Flash Cards, Study Guide, FAQ, Slide Deck, Mind Map, Infographic, Illustrated Poster and Deep Dive made from that chat. Other formats and research reports don't.
• What stays in EnglishThe screens are in English, and Voice and Talk listen in English.

5 · Chat with Documents

Ask your documents. Get answers that name their sources.

Tick what should be read, ask in plain words, and the answer comes back with the documents it is grounded in listed under it.

• You set the scopeTick documents or a whole collection in Sources, or type @ to pin one document. With nothing ticked, the chat reads every trained document.
• Sources under the answerAnswers drawn from your files name the source document, and the page, slide or section when CorpGPT can place it, in a numbered list under the answer. Click a source to open the document.
• Ask againRegenerate, or ask for it shorter, with more detail, from a different angle, or with more sources. Suggested follow-ups sit under the reply.
